This 70 minute special will feature many of the tunes composed and played by the Sligo fiddle great ‘Lad’ O’Beirne, played by a host of wonderful musicians on both sides of the Atlantic, in Ireland and in the United States. Musicians on the bill include Brian Conway, Rose Flanagan, James Kelly (all USA), John Carty, Liam O’Connor, Mary Bergin and host Oisín Mac Diarmada as well as many others. We’ll also hear stories of ‘Lad’ O'Beirne himself, a fiddler considered by many to be among the greatest ever exponents of traditional Irish music.
